Hey everyone, I'm announcing this update in a new news post because I think it deserved it's own entry. As you may know, Super Bubbles Fruit Shooter was made because I decided to restart Bubbles Media again. It's because I was moving from Scratch to PICO-8. However, I felt PICO-8 was too limited, so I moved back to Scratch, and decided to gain some experience before developing on a different platform. At first, when I released SBFS, it felt like a new thing. However, the way I see it now, it just seems like an update for Super Bubbles, what it was formerly known as.

Because of this, the new SBFS update isn't just an update to SBFS, it's an update for Super Bubbles. Instead of being on September 1st, SBFS day (it's birthday) will now be on August 19th. It'll now be turning 2 this year, since Super Bubbles was released in 2022, and this game is also an update to that. I feel like I "messed up" with Super Bubbles (Fruit Shooter) during March 2023 - 2024, so I decided to make things right again. Thanks for reading.

(Note: I had realised I made a mistake on the birthday of Super Bubbles. I was reading some google docs from 2022, and found it's actual birthday was the 19th, not the 5th of August. I fixed it now. Sorry for the mistake)

Hey guys! It's been quite a while since SBFS has been worked on. That's because I'll be updating the game!

The current bonus games and future ones I've planned to release will be discontinued, and will continue their lives as minigames in the new SBFS. (This means Kawaiimon Catch will be a minigame). You can get badges from completing minigames and doing certain things in-game.

Aside from Kawaiimon Catch, here's a couple of the new minigames and what they're about:

• Splash and Spike: Feeding Frenzy - This one's based off of a cartoon in the SBFS universe. The cartoon is called "Splash and Spike", and is about a Clownfish and Sea Urchin who are best friends. This is based off of a canned game idea which I had back in late 2020. Not only that, but it's also based on this dream I had about an animated film with a similar premise. In the game, it randomly chooses for you one of the characters. You have to dodge a certain amount of hungry piranhas coming your way.
• Ghost Season - In this one, you play as one of the ghosts. Think of it as Duck Hunt, except you use the keyboard instead of the Zapper gun.
• Burger Blitz - Focuses on Bubbles' part-time job working at a fast food restaurant. There's 3 waves. You have to find 4 fast-food items 8 times. One wave is 8 times of the items being found, so you would need to do this 24 times. There's a 75 second timer, so keep an eye on that.

Another thing to point out, a majority of the Kawaiimon will be retiring and replaced with new ones, with only 3 returning. Those being Zappy, Cuppin, and Tranquiduck.

The Halloween Special will also be discontinued as favour of a skin in the new update. Here's a couple of new skins that'll be coming in the new update:

• Christmas Skin (6th of December)
• Super Bubbles Skin (We're bringing back 2022!)

A boss fight will also be included. You have to fight the leader of the ghosts, "Boss Ghost". He'll spawn in ghosts, alongside throwing fireballs and bombs at you. Oh, and your character would also be selected for you.

The update will release on the 17th of July. Another thing I want to share: my school is hosting a Japan trip, and I've been accepted! Photos of origamis I made of Bubbles and Pogo in Japanese locations will be posted on Newgrounds, so stay tuned!

Hey everyone. As you may know, the bonus game that comes with Super Bubbles Fruit Shooter (Kawaiimon Catch), was gonna be a game you had to pay $1 to play. This, however, may not be the case. According to Itch.io's rules, you need to be 18 to make money off your games. I, however, am under 18, so I technically can't make money off Kawaiimon Catch yet.

For now, Kawaiimon Catch'll be free to play on Itch.io, and'll simply be a bonus game.

I'll be deleting all of my games and art again, as I thought it was time to move to a different, more serious programming language, PICO-8. I'll be making a new game called Super Bubbles Fruit Shooter (Super Bubbles FS for short), which is pretty much the same as the original, with a few differences. Basically, I want to restart Bubbles Media again. But yeah, the game will be released on the 23rd of June. However, despite me moving, I'll still use Scratch, just not very often.

Update (9.6.2023)

I have decided to stay on Scratch, but there will be one Super Bubbles games on PICO-8 or another engine like GameMaker in the future. Regardless, it'll still be restarted. Also, the time of posting this was on the funny 6/9 date.
